6/18/24 – This is an excellent example of a BYF 44 Mauser K98 in an original sniper configuration. All of the parts of the gun are matching (including the handguard and stock), but the bolt is mismatched. It comes equipped with a very nice and original ZF 41 scope and mount (very nice optics). All the proper waffen proofs throughout, including on the scope mount and on the stock. The metal parts have retained about 94% of their original bluing. Very minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges in general, but the majority of the finish loss is on the floor plate / trigger group where there is light scratchy wear. Spotty oxidation on the butt plate. The wood furniture is in very nice condition overall, but there is a hairline crack on the left side of the butt stock and the initials “BS” carved onto the right side. Mint bore.
