10/22/21 – This is an original 1944 dated K98 bayonet with matching scabbard. The bayonet blade is maker stamped “cvl” which is a code by WKC, and 1944 dated. The other side of the blade is serial numbered 8146j. The blade is excellent despite some green paint / residue discoloration on one side, and mild finish loss. No signs of sharpening. The wood handle is in great condition. The pommel has patina throughout, as does the scabbard. This is dark discoloration and light surface rust.
