9/2/21 – This is an original 1944 K98 bayonet with matching scabbard and a leather frog. The blade shows some mild signs of use and surface wear. Mostly finish loss and mild thinning throughout. One side of the blade is serial numbered and the reverse is maker stamped “44 asw”. There’s some mild patina on the metal pommel. The scabbard has no major dents or issues, but there’s patina throughout. The leather frog is in great shape with a unit stamp on the back.
