12/26/23 – This is a very nice Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is “United States Property” marked, has the proper GHD initials, and has a cross-canon military cartouche. Correct “Colt 45 Auto” barrel that has been parkerized. The original finish rates about 93% with general high edge wear and some thinning and a few small dings on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Comes as a rig with one “S” marked magazine, a 1942-dated Joseph Mosser holster, and an original leather lanyard.
