7/27/21 – This is a minty example of a Colt Model 1911A1 manufactured in 1944. It is all-correct, has the proper “United States Property” marking, and the proper US military cross-canon cartouche. This one, however, has British proofs throughout, indicating it was part of the WW2 British Lend-Lease Program. Colt Auto .45 barrel. It has retained about 98% of its parkerized finish with hints of wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some areas of minor discoloration on the right side of the gun and a few tiny dots of patina on the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling.
