10/20/21 – This is an excellent example of a Steyr K98 Rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All numbered parts are matching, but some are un-numbered. While the bolt is matching, the font looks different than the rest of the gun. It has the proper Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. The stock is un-numbered and has no visible proofs. It has retained most of its finish. While there is very little finish loss, there is noticeable pin-pricking on the front barrel band and areas of pitting on the floor plate and on the left side of the receiver where the metal meets the wood. The wood stock is excellent with just very minor handling marks/light scratches here and there. The bore is excellent – shiny with strong rifling.
