12/1/23 – This is a 1911A1 from 1943. The frame was made by Colt, and the slide was made by Union Switch & Signal. High Standard barrel. There is an “RIA” mark on the right side of the frame, indicating it was reworked at the Rock Island Arsenal. There is very little finish loss, just some tiny scratches on the front strap and some pin-pricking along the slide. Fitted with period-correct reddish bakelite grips and comes with one proper magazine. The bore has strong rifling with just some light frosting in the grooves.
