4/27/23 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about July of 1943. The barrel is Springfield marked and also dated July of 1943. The stock has no markings (except for a light “A” around the wrist) and is likely a replacement. The metal parts have retained most of their finish with minor wear around the muzzle and on the trigger guard. There is some light surface rust on the barrel behind the front sight. Very nice wood stock with some minor dings here and there, a few more noticeable dings on the left side. Near-mint bore. Comes with a canvas sling. There is a cleaning kit in the butt of the gun.
