9/19/23 – This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in July of 1943. It is all matching with the proper “Eagle 88” proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a nice 1944-dated pebble grain holster, one jvd magazine, and one rare, late-war, phosphate, “U” marked magazine. The gun itself has retained about 93-94% of its original wartime finish. There is very minor thinning on the front strap and minor wear around the muzzle and on the high edges of the slide. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there are noticeable casting flaws along the right side of the slide. Fitted with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips. The bore has great rifling, but there is minor freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional.
