4/7/23 – This is a nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, “FJA” inspected, and has the proper cross-canon military cartouche. Flannery barrel. It comes as a rig with one magazine and a 1943-dated Graton & Knight Holster. The gun itself has retained about 90-92% of its finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap, but there is also wear around the muzzle and on the high edges in general. Pin-pricking on the front strap and around the front edge of the frame. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina covering the whole gun. The front sight blade has been repaired with what looks like a tiny piece of brass. Nice period-correct reddish plastic grips. Very nice bore with great rifling.
