1/19/22 – This is a very nice example of a Mauser K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It comes with an original cleaning rod and brown leather sling. The gun is mostly matching. Mismatched parts include the rear barrel band, bolt, and stock. The front barrel band is un-numbered. No import mark. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. There is minor splotchy discoloration on the receiver and minor thinning along the barrel. Noticeable finish loss on floor plate and trigger group. There is minor scratchy wear on the front barrel band and minor spotty oxidation along the barrel and on the floor plate/trigger group. The wood stock is nice with only minor dings, dents, and bruises throughout. The bore has good rifling with some minor pin-pricking in the grooves. This gun would make an excellent shooter.
