10/5/22 – This is a very nice example of a BYF 43 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 135” military acceptance proofs throughout. There is thinning on the front strap and on the top of the barrel through the ejection port. An area of wear at the back right of the slide. Areas of light spotty oxidation and pin-pricking on the right side of the slide and right side of the barrel. Comes with excellent reddish grips and a period-correct “Eagle 135” marked Mauser magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some light freckling here and there. De-cocker is functional.
