11/27/23 – This is an original 1943 production German K98 rifle bayonet. The bayonet comes with an original matching numbered scabbard with an attached leather frog. The bayonet blade is in great shape with most of the blued finish still intact. No signs of sharpening along the edge and some light scabbard rub wear. Serial numbered and maker stamped on the base of the blade. The handle is excellent and original with no cracks or chips. Some light patina and spotty discoloration on the pommel. The scabbard has most of the finish missing and has surface patina throughout. Serial numbered near the mouth. The frog is in great overall condition as well with no visible markings. All original leather and stitching.
