5/16/23 – This is an original 1943 production Ithaca M1911A1 pistol from WW2. The pistol is in ~75% overall condition with some general thinning to the finish and honest use wear evident throughout the front and back straps. The front strap has a faint electro-penciled number “2527” that was likely added at an arsenal post-war. The frame and slide both show edge wear and light thinning of the finish. Some muzzle wear is present on the slide as well. Only a few very light spots of freckling patina on the slide. Comes with a correct, early style checkered main spring housing and “HS” stamped High Standard barrel. The bore rates at 7.5/10 with some mild residue and patina within the grooves and honest use wear, but no major issues that would affect functionality. Mechanically sound with original grips and a postwar magazine.
