2/1/22 – This is a very nice example of a Finnish Mosin M39 rifle, manufactured in 1943. The bolt matches the receiver, but the floor plate is mismatched. The butt plate is un-numbered. The gun has the proper Finnish “SA” markings and the “S in Gear” Sako factory logo. There is one peened marking and an added serial number on the chamber. Import on the barrel. No visible markings on the stock. Comes with a cleaning rod. Overall the gun is in very nice condition. There is spotty, somewhat scratchy wear on most of the metal parts. The butt plate has lost virtually all of its finish. The stock is minty. It was most likely sanded, and there is a hairline crack on the right side around the sling well. The bore is excellent with areas of tiny pin-pricking here and there.
