10/11/22 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is “United States Property” marked, “GHD” proofed on the left side, and has the proper cross-cannon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. This slide is properly numbered but mismatched to the frame. Period-correct Colt barrel with a large “G” under the lug. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is spotty wear around the high edges (especially the round edges) of the slide. Minor muzzle wear and some thinning on the front strap as well. Comes with excellent reddish plastic grips and one magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
