2/24/20 – This is an original and minty condition E.F. Horster 43 asw marked K98 bayonet with WaA519 waffen military proofs. The bayonet and scabbard are matching serial numbered 6963t. The blade is nearly flawless with almost all the original bluing in tact. Excellent reddish bakelite grips. The scabbard is similar condition as the blade with minimal wear, and is interestingly ’44 asw dated. This is seen from 43-44 as leftover blades were paired with ’44 scabbards due to supplies in the factories at the end of 1943. Comes with a leather frog marked to Carl Hepting Co. with a lightly struck stamp, but appears to be 1944 dated.
