4/19/23 – This is an AC 42 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. The slide and frame are matching, but the barrel and locking block are mismatched. Proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a nice 1941-dated hard shell holster and a period-correct “Eagle 135” marked Mauser magazine. The gun itself has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. There is significant finish loss on the front strap and wear around the muzzle and along both sides of the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Some wear on the top plate as well. Fitted with very nice period-correct reddish bakelite grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
