3/24/2023 – This is a Springfield M1Garand with a receiver that dates to 1942. The barrel is also Springfield marked and dated July of 1953. No markings on stock except for what looks like a rack number painted on the right side of butt stock. It has retained about 90% of its finish, with wear around the muzzle and thinning along the barrel. There is also some minor pitting under the finish on the receiver. The stock shows no major damage, but there obvious signs of use. The color of the hand guards do not match the rest of the stock. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling. Muzzle reading is 5 throat reading is 4.
