6/14/22 – This is a very nice example of a Remington Model 1903 issued to the US military in 1942. The receiver dates to about September of 1942. The barrel is High Standard marked and dated November of 1944. The stock has a “P” on the wrist and a faint “RA-P” stamp on the left side, indicating it was reworked at the Raritan Arsenal. The bolt is Remington marked. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition. There is very little actual finish loss, but there are some areas of light brown patina here and there and some light scuffing on the receiver. Tiny dots of discoloration on the floor plate. The stock has only minor dings and dents throughout. A couple of hairline cracks in the upper handguard. Minty bore.
