1/17/23 – This is an original 1942 dated P.38 holster with some mild stitching issues. The stitching on the back belt loops appears to be replacement, and it’s likely the belt loops are field replacements as well. Further, the stitching on the left side of the holster (when looking at the front) is loose / not connected through both layers of leather for about 3.5 inches. This is easily visible when looking at the back of the holster (see photos). The rest of the stitching is original and in great shape. The leather is in great overall condition with normal pliability and typical use and aging wear. The back leather is maker stamped, dated, P.38 stamped, and waffen stamped (although the waffen proof is almost completely faded out of the leather and is barely visible between the belt loops). The price is reduced accordingly.
