7/15/24 – This is an original 1942 dated German 7.65mm holster. The holster is well marked with a waffen military proof stamp on the closure strap, a maker and date stamp on the side flap, underneath the closure strap: “JHG 42”, and the interior leather has a faint ink stamp. The ink stamp is either “Mauser” or “Sauer” based on the visible letters, as well as the size and shape of this holster. The leather is in great overall condition despite some honest use and age wear. The front leather has a scuffed and raised area from where a spare magazine protrudes out of the pouch. The toe has some wrinkling, and the interior leather shows use wear. Normal pliability and all original leather is intact. All original stitching intact as well.
