7/21/22 – This is a decent Nazi Mauser K98, marked ‘byf 42’ on the receiver. All numbered metal parts have matching numbers. The stock is also externally numbered and matching, but we believe this isn’t factory numbering, especially as the handguard is mismatched. The original blue on the metal is in decent shape with notable thinning on the front, trigger assembly and rear of receiver. The stock is in very good condition with no cracks but was likely sanded lightly years ago. Comes with sling and cleaning rod. The bore has fairly strong rifling but there is notable frost throughout, and a patch of notable pitting.
