3/15/23 – This is an original 1942 dated Luger holster from WW2. The holster had both belt loops removed and rivets were added at some point post-factory. The rivet holes were then plugged, and leather belt loops were added back to the holster, in an effort to restore the holster back to a more original configuration. The result is replacement stitching and belt loops along with plug marks on the back leather where the rivets were. The original maker stamp, date stamp, waffen proof, and P.08 stamp are still visible on the back leather, however. The rest of the holster is in great condition with all original stitching intact and nice leather. The leather has mild pliability and is very clean throughout with normal signs of aging and light use wear. Two Luftwaffe rank pins have been attached to the front lid as shown. Likely a G.I. embellishment.
