7/25/23 – This is a very nice example of “ce” Code JP Sauer K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1942. The gun is mismatched but has no import marks. The metal parts have retained roughly 85% of their finish. Most of the finish loss is on the floor plate / trigger grouping, but there are areas of wear on the barrel bands and on the receiver. Spotty oxidation on most of the metal parts, heaviest on the front barrel band. There is noticeable pitting and some surface rust on the butt plate. The stock has no major damage, but shows the typical signs of wear. It is waffen-proofed and has hand-numbering on the left side of the butt stock. Mint bore.
