6/18/20 – This is a Colt Commando Revolver issued to the US Military during WW2, in 1942. It is chambered in .38 special. It has the proper flaming bomb proof on the left side of the frame. It is US Property-marked on the rear strap. It is all matching. This gun has retained about 92-94% of its original finish. Most of the wear is around the muzzle, discoloration on the right side of the barrel, and small spotty areas of wear on the cylinder, barrel, and frame throughout. The action is smooth and tight. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling. The grips are original and excellent. 4″ barrel.
