4/1/20 – This is an all original Army Colt 1911A1 from 1942. The pistol has matching slide and frame, with proper Colt barrel with ‘G’ under lug. Correct inspector proofs include P on slide and frame, and WB inspector mark on frame. The pistol has a bit of thinning on the front strap, left side edges and right side slide near ejection port. There’s also a minor spot of discoloration on rear left of slide. Bore is shiny and strong. Excellent grips. ‘S’ marked magazine and C-R marked on the bottom of the magazine. Overall a very nice example of a desirable WB marked 1911A1.
