3/6/2023 – This is an scarce example of a very early “AC 41” Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is a first-variation pistol with “ac” on the trigger guard and has a particularly early “577” serial number. This indicates that this was the 577th out of the 24,800 made of this variation. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. The high-polish finish on this one is mostly gone, and the markings are slightly faded from use/wear. Comes with excellent Walther grips that are “Eagle 359” proofed but not numbered. Also comes with a numbered Walther magazine but it is mismatched to this pistol. It is a correct, early Walther mag with two E/359 spine proofs though. The bore is in significantly better condition than the pistol – bright with strong rifling and just a bit of frost in the grooves. Functional safety/de-cocker.
