3/20/24 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1 Garand from 1941. The barrel is dated 12-41 and Springfield-marked. The stock has Springfield cartouches, but they are not original. There are British proofs on the barrel, so this gun may have been part of the Lend-Lease Program. The metal parts have retained about 96% of their finish with minor muzzle and high edge wear. Minty wood furniture, but there is a small hairline crack in the upper handguard. Mint bore. Muzzle reading: 1. Throat reading: 0.
