5/11/23 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The receiver dates to 1941. The barrel is Springfield marked and dated November of 1941. The end of the barrel has a British proof, indicating this gun was apart of the British Lend-Lease Program between the US and England. The stock has only a very faint “P” on the wrist. No other proofs. It was either heavily sanded or replaced. The metal parts have retained about 93% of their finish. There is minor muzzle wear and minor wear on the high edges in general. Brown patina on the receiver. Some minor pitting and very light surface rust on the sling swivels. The op rod has been refinished. Minty wood furniture. Excellent bore with great rifling.
