9/13/17 – This is an original WW2 production 1941 dated P.38 holster. The back of the holster is stamped “dla 41” with a WaA195 eagle proof stamp and a P.38 stamp. The back left belt loop has 3 loose stitches on the lower end of the strap, but the strap is still firmly attached. The stitching along the non-mag pouch end of the holster has a small area of black stitching that I believe is replacement. The rest of the stitching is original and in tact. The leather has some surface wear but this is normal, and overall the leather is very nice. A hard to find, early P.38 holster.
