2/28/22 – This is an excellent example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1941. The gun is mostly mismatched, but has the proper “Eagle 655” Nazi military acceptance proofs on the right side of the slide. The side plate is a replacement and is un-numbered. The barrel and rear toggle pin match the frame, but the entire toggle assembly does not match the rest of the gun. In any case, it has retained about 96% of its finish. There is minor wear on the side rails and around the muzzle. Some minor pitting on the right side rail. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina and spotty oxidation on both grip straps and on the left side of the frame. Comes with fairly worn un-numbered wood grips and a post-war magazine. The bore has good rifling with a few areas of minor pitting. The slide does not lock back with this magazine. This example would make a fantastic shooter.
