1/25/22 – This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 655” Nazi military acceptance proofs on the right side of the slide. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is minor wear on most of the high edges in general and around the muzzle. There is also an area of wear at the base of the front strap. Somewhat spotty wear and brown patina on both grip straps. Some tiny dings on the front strap and on the left side rail. There are what looks like vice grip witness marks on the top and underside of the barrel, possibly done when removing the barrel. However, the barrel looks original and, in our opinion, was not replaced. Comes with nice matching-numbered grips and a mismatched but period-correct magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is spotty freckling throughout. NOTE: the hold-open does not work properly with this magazine unless you are applying pressure from the bottom.
