7/26/23 – This is a nice example of an “ar 41” code K98 rifle, manufactured at the Mauser Borsigwalde factory in 1941. This one is mostly mismatched but has no import marks. The metal parts have lost more than half of their original finish with obvious wear and spotty brown patina throughout. The majority of the remaining bluing is on the barrel. There are obvious dings, bruises, and scratches on the wood furniture. A series of small circular dings on the right side of the butt stock. There is some light surface cracking in the wood here and there from age – these are not actual structural cracks. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Comes with a reproduction leather sling.
