10/27/21 – This is a matching K98 bayonet and scabbard from 1941. The bayonet ha a nice blued finish throughout, with somewhat more finish loss on the scabbard than on the blade. The scabbard has some mild patina as well but no dents. The blade has some mild finish loss but no rust or pitting, nor signs of sharpening. Mild patina on the metal pommel, but no major rust or pitting. Great overall condition.
