6/15/23 – This is an original 1940 dated Luger holster from WW2. The holster would be rated as excellent condition, except for the interior tool pouch has detached from the lid of the holster, as shown in photos. The holster still has very nice, strong and clean dark brown leather with crisp markings. The back of the holster is maker stamped, “AUWARTER & BUBECK” with a 1940 date stamp and a waffen military proof stamp. There’s some light surface wear and typical scuffing / signs of aging throughout the exterior of the holster, but no major issues. The closure strap appears to be replacement, as this leather looks “too new” and the stitching on the closure strap is a slightly different color than the rest of the stitching. Despite this professional-looking repair, this is an excellent example of a WW2 Luger holster, in need of a repair on the tool pouch as well. Priced accordingly.
