9/27/18 – This is an original 1940 dated Luger holster. The holster is in great condition with strong leather that has minimal pliability. Very great shape and form to the leather. The lid has some surface scuffing as well as wrinkling, but this is cosmetic more than functionally effective wear. The strap has some weakness as well as cracking to the leather, but is completely attached and in tact. The brown leather is more scarce than black – especially for the year of production. The back of the holster is dated and maker stamped by C. Weiss. There’s also a waffen proof stamp. Excellent stitching. Guaranteed original.
