9/22/22 – This is an original 1940 production K98 bayonet with a matching numbered scabbard and an original leather frog. The bayonet blade is in excellent condition with minimal finish loss. No signs of sharpening or misuse. The handle has some brown patina within the finish as well as edge wear. No cracks or chips in the handle and properly waffen proof stamped. The scabbard has no dents or major issues but most of the finish is missing. There’s spotty surface patina throughout. The leather frog is unmarked.
