10/18/21 – This is a rare, excellent condition 1940 K98 bayonet with a matching numbered scabbard. The bayonet also comes with a minty canvas DAK frog, and an officer’s portepee. The blade and scabbard are both serial numbered 9081h. Maker marked by E.u.F. Horster. The blade is excellent and clean with some mild finish loss near the tip. The scabbard has patina throughout but no dents. The metal parts of the handle are in great condition but show patina throughout. A scarce, high-end example.
