6/13/22 – This is a nice example of a JP Sauer K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1939. This one also has a rare “147” Sauer factory code. The gun is completely matching except for the bolt and one of the trigger assembly screws. The stock is also matching and has the proper Waffen stamps. Overall, the gun is in nice condition overall, but there is noticeable finish loss on the receiver, barrel bands, and especially the floor plate / trigger assembly where there is no finish left. The stock is nice, but there are minor dings and scratches throughout. The bore has strong rifling, but there is minor freckling throughout.
