9/6/23 – This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1939. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 63” military acceptance proofs. It has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. There is minor thinning on the grip straps and areas of wear around the muzzle, along the left side of the barrel, on the side plate, and on the high edges in general. Some tiny scratches on the barrel, on the left side of the frame, and on the front strap. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. Comes with a matching-numbered magazine, but the numbering was applied post-factory – likely at a police arsenal. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is light spotty surface oxidation throughout.
