1/17/23 – This is a nice example of a 42 Code Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1939. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 655” military acceptance proofs. The “x” suffix on the frame has been filled in blue paint. Under that serial number there are letters and numbers very lightly scratched into the metal, “KBM 892454”. Overall, the gun has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on both grip straps, but there are areas of minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. Light spotty oxidation on the grip straps and some light pin-pricking on the side plate. Fitted with very nice un-numbered wood grips – tiny chip in the upper corner of the left panel. Comes with a mismatched “Eagle 63” marked magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is light freckling throughout.
