2/2/24 – This is an original leather sling for a K98 rifle. The sling comes with an original keeper that’s maker stamped and dated “1939”. Only half of the stamp is legible so I cannot make out the maker. The buckle is maker stamped “D&C” for “Dransfeld & Co, Menden/Sauerland.” The leather has normal surface wear but the original herringbone pattern is 50% remaining throughout. Sling has some minor surface crack as seen in the photos, but nothing that affects its durability. Overall in great+ condition.
