10/20/21 – This is a 1939 dated K98 bayonet with a matching numbered scabbard. The bayonet also comes with a leather frog and portepee. The portepee has a blue knot which is Luftwaffe issued. The leather frog has a maker stamp and date on the back, and the leather and stitching is all original and in good condition. The scabbard is missing most of the finish and has patina throughout. The blade is excellent. Maker stamped on one side and numbered on the other. The two digit serial number with “a” suffix is desirable.
