4/19/23 – This is a nice example of a CZ Model 38 manufactured in 1939. This one is part of the early Nazi military contract. It is in the proper 250000-291000 serial range and has the proper features, such as high polish finish and Czech Lion proofs throughout. It has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. The most obvious sign of wear is splotchy discoloration and patina along the left side of the slide and one spot on the right side of the frame. Minor freckling on the front strap. Very nice period-correct bakelite grip – a couple of tiny chips on the right side. Comes with a proper magazine. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
