12/9/21 – This is a Mauser Luger that was issued to the Nazi military in 1938. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 63” Nazi military acceptance proofs on the right side of the slide. It has retained roughly 85% of its finish. We believe the gun has been refinished. There is some thinning and oxidation on the grips, but the most obvious sign of wear are dots of splotchy discoloration on the whole underside of the gun. These dots almost have the appearance of having been “splashed” onto the gun. There is also a little bit of this on the side plate and top of the back strap as well. A few small areas of discoloration and minor pitting along the right side rail. The gun comes with replacement wood grips and a post-war magazine. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout. This gun would make an excellent shooter.
