6/28/22 – This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1937. It is all matching, has an “S/42” Mauser factory code on the toggle, and has the proper “Eagle 63” military acceptance proofs. Also comes with one original matching-numbered magazine. It has retained roughly 30% of its original finish. There is significant finish loss throughout, and most of the remaining bluing is on the top and right side of the gun. Minor pin-pricking on the grip straps. There the initials “GC” on the tang and very lightly on the stock lug. Comes with excellent wood grips – the right panel is matching, the left is mismatched. The bore has good rifling, but there is spotty freckling throughout.
