5/17/23 – This is a very nice example of a military issued Luger dated 1937. It is Mauser marked S/42 on the top of the toggle. It has all original blued finish that rates in the 92-94% range. It has the proper straw color small parts which means it is a 1st variation gun before they switched over to all blued small parts. All of the numbers are matching except for the magazine. The magazine goes to a later gun and is actually a very desirable “black widow” style magazine. The grips are not matching which is correct for most lugers from 1937. The action is tight and fully functional. The bore rates an 8 out of 10 as it is shiny with strong rifling.
