3/21/22 – This is an original 1937 dated Luger holster. The holster is stamped on the back leather with a maker stamp, waffen proof, and date stamp. We refer to this holster as a “1st variation” 1937 holster because the waffen proof is a droop winged eagle, and not stick winged. 1937 was the year the Germans switched to the stick winged variation proof stamp, so this holster was most likely made in the beginning of 1937. The leather is in good overall condition despite a small hole on the front lid, near the closure strap. Otherwise the leather has typical pliability and mild surface wear throughout. No stitching issues.
