2/2/22 – This is a very nice example of a Berlin-Lubecker K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1937. The chamber is marked “S/237” which is a scarce Berlin-Lubecker factory code. The gun is almost entirely mismatched but does have the proper waffen military acceptance proofs throughout. The butt plate was re-numbered. There is minor thinning and some light spotty discoloration along the barrel. Minor scratchy wear on the barrel bands. There are areas of minor thinning under the left side of the rear sight, on the chamber, and on the floor plate/trigger guard. The stock is nice, but there are minor dings and bruises throughout. The bore is shiny with good rifling, but there are hints of frosting in some of the grooves.
